I was walking to work this morning when I noticed the paper had finally been taken off the windows of the new store occupying the location which was formerly the Dupont movie theater on 19th. What new and exciting store opened? A CVS. More than a little disappointing.
One can virtually see the CVS on the circle from the front of the new one. I understand the appeal of such stores. Who can argue with the convenience factor when you’re just running in for one thing during your lunch break or on the way home. But really, two within sight of each other? At this point I think there are more CVSs than Starbucks in the Dupont/Farragut Square area. You must have reached market saturation when you exceed the Starbucks quota for a given area.
